New Year's Eve: Rue Le Chat Style

For the past few years, I've spent New Year's Eve with the usual suspects: chilled bottles of bubbly, must-have Chinese (eat-in or take-out) from my favorite spot and loved ones (including Mr. Chat). Many wouldn't call my ritual purrfectly chic, but sometimes perfection is simple...it's what you make of it. Not to mention, I'm certain my invitation to an ultra-chic New Year's Eve soirĂ©e was lost in the mail.

As I bid adieu to a year filled with personal accomplishments and partially touched resolutions, here's how I'll be saluting the 1-and-2.

One Line A Day: Paper Source
Believe it or not, I still journal...on paper! Journaling keeps my thoughts, dreams and goals organized...and it also keeps me honest with myself. This journal from Paper Source is an essential tool for procrastinators like myself.

Pure Barre
If I can get myself motivated, it will be wise to hit the morning Barre before hitting the evening bar.
Tuck that tush!

Stags' Leap Cabernet Savignon
Stags' Leap Cabernet Sauvignon is one my favorite red wines. I have two bottles in the "reserve" cabinet...one if not both will be opened tonight. I think 2012 calls for a trip to Napa! Blogging with a buzz could be interesting.

Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label
Who doesn't love a glass or glasses of champagne?!? I was introduced to Veuve Clicquot 10 years ago and have been a faithful connoisseur since. A holiday in Champagne, France sounds rather inviting, don't you think?

Graham Beck Brut Rose
One of my favorite sparkling wines is the Graham Beck Brut Rose. It's a delicious blend of pinot noir and chardonnay. Try it! South African wine sabbatical here I come!

Skinny Jeans + Dumplings = Trouble
After a grueling tuck session to maintain my tush in skinny jeans, I will be rewarding myself with the quintessential (not-so-chic) New Year's Eve meal: Chinese food. There must be dumplings in Heaven.

New Year's Eve
As lame as this sounds, I have been wanting to see New Year's Eve since it hit theaters on December 9. It's my turn to pick the movie anyway.

Shimmer Brick Compact
Finally, New Year's Eve wouldn't be complete without a little shimmer. I love this bronze Shimmer Brick Compact from Bobbi Brown. There are also palettes in beige, nectar, rose and pink quartz.
Sparkle no matter what you're doing!

Tonight, I will reflect on my past, reward my present and renew for my future. I would like to thank my family and friends for all of their support this year. Wishing all of you a healthy, happy and purrfectly chic New Year!
