Calgon...take me away!

Remember that famous commercial from the 1980's? I do. I was just a little girl, but I remember the gorgeous television model gushing that all of her miseries had melted after just one dip into the effervescent oasis known as Calgon. These days, the bubbly bath gel is still around (barely), but those commercials are a thing of the past. The slogan Calgon...take me away! reminds me of a tropical retreat filled with sumptuous sun, blissful beaches and not a bug in sight (this is my Calgon fantasy and we're in the tropics after all).

With the wintry weather swirling about outside of my window today, I'm in desperate need of Calgon and his (or her) magical powers to whisk me away....very far away. If Calgon could take me away this very moment, here's where I'd go...

I mean it just doesn't get more posh than this. The One&Only Palmilla is luxe lounging at its finest. The pristine pool, sunken spa-like tub (filled with Calgon, of course) and breathtaking vistas are enough to send anyone into a perpetual state of bliss. Dear Calgon, I'm leaving on the first flight...and I won't forget to write. xoxo, Me.

Santorini is one of those cosmopolitan beach villages that I only see in my dreams. There I am...soaking in the infinity pool at the Grace Santorini and sampling juicy olives, zesty tzatziki and an abundance of local wines as ferocious waves crash against the rocky cliff below. This luxurious boutique hotel is perfect for those of us in search of a sophisticated seaside sanctuary.

I've been longing to visit St. Thomas ever since I laid eyes on the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas. An indigo sky, the turquoise-infused water and fragrantly lush gardens...a Caribbean dream come true. Plus, I'd certainly want to be pampered with their signature white mango pedicure. Putting on the Ritz...in paradise!

  1. Aw, man, I'm super totally all-around jealous of people who get to go to these places. I'm making them my new goal.
