Earlier this month, Boston-based writer and local fashionista Alexandra Hall launched a new digital lifestyle magazine appropriately titled
Coup Boston. In her editor's letter, Hall provides insight into the meaning of the word coup (as in coup d'
état) which is described as
a highly effective, unexpected stroke or act. A clever action, accomplishment or successful revolution. Coup Boston is indeed unexpected, but much needed. In a city crushing for that cosmopolitan connection, the online quarterly has it covered with features on fashion, beauty,
décor, dinning and destinations.
As I devoured each page click by click, I was mesmerized with the issue's intoxicating blend of bold images, fashion-forward content and luxe living stories. This is exactly what Boston's social scene has been craving -- a gorgeous glossy gleaming with grandeur.
Coup Boston is certainly an accomplishment and it will no doubt be a successful revolution. Hats off to you, Alex!
